Best In Show
12 pet brands, hand-picked by the prestigious Selection Committee, introduce themselves and their products/services on the main stage, in a quick-fire round of presentations.
6 Pet Health, and 6 Consumer brands will be selected. Submissions will be accepted from both Mass and Prestige brands in Food, Treats, Supplements, Accessories and Hard Products, Insurance, Retail, Services and Technology. They should be early to mid-stage brands that are actively seeking financial investment, acquisition, distribution, and/or marketing.
The more detailed the application form, the more information the selection committee can use to make their decision. However, if you do not wish to fill in a question, please feel free to leave it blank.
What will I get as a finalist?
• Mainstage Spotlight – you will be given the opportunity to showcase your brand to our virtual room of seasoned strategic M&A scouts, venture capital and private equity investors.
• Virtual Booth – each finalist will get their own “virtual booth” to include a product demo, brand video and company information, giving investors and potential partners the information they need to make a connection.

Returned to Belgium to pursue a financial MBA and co-founded Edgard & Cooper in 2015. Responsible for commercial department at Edgard & Cooper.
Pippa is an invesor at Sweet Capital and splits her time between the London and LA offices. Prior to Sweet Capital, Pippa worked in Consumer Private Equity at LVMH-backed L Catterton, where she was part of the investment team that worked on a $175m co-invest with JD.com into Secoo, China's largest luxury e-commerce player. Prior to this, Pippa spent five years at J.P. Morgan in London and Hong Kong, where she was part of the global equity strategy team, analysing companies for investment primarily in the technology and consumer space. Before J.P. Morgan, Pippa worked for the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office in Shanghai and Beijing, developing UK/China investment and policy initiatives. Pippa holds an BA in Chinese from Oxford University and an MBA (Fulbright Scholar) from Harvard Business School. Pippa was promoted to Partner in July 2019.

Peter is an experienced retailer with over 30 years’ experience having worked for M&S, Sainsbury’s, Iceland, ASDA and Wilkinson Hardware Stores.
Peter is now Group CEO of Pets at Home Group PLC appointed in 2018. He has been with the retailer since 2011 initially as Commercial Director then COO & more recently Retail CEO.
Peter is a life-long pet parent and today is “dad” to Oscar and Leo two very cute but very mischievous cats.
Peter has refocused the strategy of the business to bring all its assets together and become “The Best Pet Care Business in the World” enabling pet parents to do their best for their beloved pet. Pets at Home wants to make being a pet parent, easy, convenient but above all rewarding.
The business has amazing assets - V.I.P. – The Very Important Pets Club, the award winning pet loyalty scheme launched in 2012 now with over 4.5 million members with 1 in 3 dogs and 1 in 4 cats, in the UK registered on the scheme. A truly seamless web and store operations allowing pet shoppers to shop with Pets at Home in any way they wish with 65% of all orders being chosen to be collected in store. The business recognizes the importance of educating and helping pet owners, running highly successful children pet workshops, puppy socialization classes, puppy training, dog agility and even dog birthday parties.
Pets at Home also runs the UK’s largest joint venture veterinary business under “Vets4Pets” as well as owning 4 specialist hospitals performing life changing surgery and treatments for pets.
In July 2019 Pets at Home extended on its services capability by becoming the lead investor in Tailster.com the UK’s leading digital dog walking and pet boarding business.

Matt Diffey
Matt Diffey is Head of Group Strategy & Transformation at Pet at Home. He works closely with the Pets at Home management team to develop and implement the Group’s strategy – which is centred on the vision ‘to be the best pet care business in the world.’ Matt also plays a leadership role in driving the Group’s M&A agenda, including the Group’s recent investment in Tailster, the UK’s leading dog walking and pet boarding service, and now represents Pets at Home on Tailster’s Board.
Prior to joining Pets at Home in 2016, Matt was a Case Team Leader at Bain & Company in London, where he worked primarily with consumer-oriented businesses to develop solutions to their most important strategic and organisational issues. He also spent a year in Bain’s Private Equity Group, supporting several of the world’s leading private equity funds on commercial due diligence.
He started his career in the social impact sector and is passionate about the role large businesses, such as Pets at Home, can play in being a force for good in broader society.
Matt grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia, USA, and received a BA in Philosophy from Tufts University and an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.

Tania is the CEO of Pets Deli, the leading direct-to-consumer pet food brand in Germany. Pets Deli’s mission is to make healthy feeding easy for everyone. It boasts a full range of premium dog and cat foods such as raw meals, dry and wet food and a complete assortment of snacks. In addition it carries products for pets with sensitive stomachs and recently introduced a sustainable product line that uses alternative proteins as well as a complete healthcare line.
Tania took over Pets Deli in 2017 after it had to file for bankruptcy and rebuilt it from scratch. Today it is one of the fastest growing online pet food companies in Europe known for its speed of operation, online marketing strength and successful subscription services. Pets Deli currently launches on average one new product per week and will continue to grow both on- and offline in the upcoming year.
She holds a masters degree in International Management previously worked for the Boston Consulting Group.

Oliver Boucher has a successful track record creating and managing start-ups and executing strategic transactions at Board level on both the buy-side and sell-side of the life science business-to-business (B2B) market within the pharmaceutical and diagnostics industries. He also has significant experience in fund-raising, both dilutive and non-dilutive. He has held senior commercial and business roles in a succession of biotech companies after having gained executive level experience for seven years as a director of business development at GSK. Before joining industry, Oliver Boucher was a patent attorney in London, Montreal and Paris. He received an MA in genetics and molecular biology from Cambridge University and earned an MBA from INSEAD Business School. Mr Boucher joined Zoetis in 2017.

With experience leading teams in marketing, software development, design, artificial intelligence and human healthcare sectors, he’s spent four years teaching Master’s level business modelling as Teaching Fellow in Entrepreneurship at Surrey University Business School. Shifting his focus to animal health, he is currently acting Head of the Veterinary Health Innovation Engine (vHive) at Surrey University Veterinary School with partner organisation Zoetis - the world’s largest animal health pharmaceutical company, where he is leading on the development of several platforms in animal health for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation cofounded initiatives in Sub Saharan Africa.
